The Eastside Youth Soccer League in Detroit has been running for 8 years, providing a safe and structured sporting environment for over 200 children aged 6 to 16 from low-income families. For many of these kids, this league is their only access to organised sport, mentorship, and positive community engagement.
This season, our ageing equipment has reached the end of its life. Goalposts have rusted through, balls are worn out, and more than half of our players lack proper boots and shin guards. We have also been offered use of a new, larger field — but we need to fund the nets, corner flags, and line marking equipment to make it match-ready.
Every dollar raised will be spent directly on kits, boots, training bibs, footballs, goalpost nets, and field equipment for the upcoming season. Sport changes lives, and these children deserve the same opportunities as kids in wealthier neighbourhoods. Help us give them a great season to remember.
