Help Reopen Jacksons Bakery After Devastating Fire

Jackson's Bakery has been a beloved institution in the Harlem community for 32 years. Founded by Earl Jackson in 1992, the bakery has fed generations of local families, employed over 40 neighbourhood residents, and donated thousands of loaves of bread to local food banks every month.

On January 22nd, an electrical fire swept through the bakery in the middle of the night, destroying the kitchen, all professional baking equipment, the storefront, and 30 years of family memorabilia. Earl and his daughter Nadia, who now co-runs the business, are devastated — but determined to rebuild.

The insurance payout fell drastically short of what is needed. They need $65,000 to replace the industrial ovens, mixers, proofing equipment, refrigeration units, and restore the front of the store.
